First Earth formed in late 2009 when the stars finally aligned and permitted this line up of musicians to all be at the same place, at the same time. Featuring ex-members of People of Earth and ex-members of Flowdown, these 5 friends have all been in bands together at different times, but never all 5 at the same time. After the initial rehearsal, it was obvious to all that this group needs to be heard! Comprised of the key members of both of these forementioned projects, they have successfully melded their music into something that is truly unique and fills the void in a genre full of clones.
Songwriters Robb Goetz and Matt Harkness deliver hook and jam driven compositions guaranteed to be stuck in your head. This is all made possible by the foundation of the group, featuring the remarkable and renowned Chris Compton on drums, the deep pocketed funky grooves for days from bassist Kevin Kopper and the icing on the cake, Kent English, providing beautifully tasteful layers of piano, organ, clav and just about anything with keys on it.
