The Bogarts are not easily defined by genres, but have a close kinship to alt-country bands like the Jayhawks, Son Volt, Whiskeytown, and the Old 97s. Their music harkens back to a simpler time, yet presses forward w/ purposeful jams, high lonesome harmonies, and lyrics that tackle topics from politics to heartache & retribution. The Jamestown, NY band has released 2 albums, Redemption & Retribution (2008) and We Used to Know the Skies (2010). Past performances include the Edinboro Music Fest, the Great Blue Heron Music Fest, the Flood City Music Fest, the Sherman Barn Dance, and the Sportsmen's Tavern.
