Bess Raynor was born into music listening to her dad, Ken Hardley, singing lullabyes improvised from Warren Zevon songs. Early in adolescence, Bess began appearing on stage with her father, rapidly developing her own performance style. She eventually became a semi-regular at Hardley's performances. With an unerring sense of what is musical and with a voice featuring the distinctive timbre of rich fragility, she continues to appear with Hardley on special occasions.
